One of the most iconic spots in Las Vegas is the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign. If you know anyone who has been to Las Vegas, chances are they may have gotten a photo in front of this sign. I have seen it on my Instagram feed time and time again by everyone who has gone to Las Vegas. Yet, on my first trip to Las Vegas (years ago), I don’t recall ever seeing the sign. That’s because the Vegas Sign isn’t on the Las Vegas Strip. And since it wasn’t on my radar on that first trip, I didn’t even see it.
While it is located off the strip, getting to the Las Vegas Sign isn’t that hard. If you are looking for how to get to the Las Vegas Sign, this guide includes everything you need to know as well as tips for visiting the Las Vegas Sign.

There is a free parking lot at the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign, however, keep in mind that there is only room for about 12 cars, so you may need to wait to get a spot. If you have a car, I would suggest coming early in the morning to ensure you can get a parking spot.

Is It Worth Visiting the Las Vegas Sign
If you are looking to get that iconic Las Vegas photo, then yes it is worth visiting the Las Vegas Sign. For anyone who loves finding great photo spots on their trips, then this is a must-visit.
However, if I didn’t already have a rental car, I don’t think I would have visited. With a car, stopping at the Las Vegas Sign was quick, fun, and easy and didn’t take up much time. I probably wouldn’t have walked or taken public transportation to get here though. Taking public transportation or walking would be time-consuming, and there really isn’t anything to do here aside from taking a photo. While I love taking photos, I wouldn’t have spent a lot of time or energy on this one photo opportunity as there are plenty of other photo spots on the Vegas Strip.
Yet, if I was staying in Las Vegas for a longer trip or at a hotel nearby the sign, it would be worth a visit.
