The Location
The Hamilton Princess is conveniently located in the capital of Bermuda, Hamilton. Hamilton proved to be the perfect spot for exploring the island, due to its’ central location. While Hamilton is the perfect jumping-off point for exploring Bermuda, there is a lot to offer in the capital itself. Be sure to stroll down Front St. to get a taste of what this colorful capital has to offer. Only a 5-minute walk from the city center, you can enjoy the ample shopping and restaurants available.
One of my favorite parts of the city of Hamilton and the hotel is the harbor front views. From the hotel, I was able to enjoy the view of boats dotting the harbor. Nothing says paradise like the view of sailboats on the water.
Located within walking distance (only 30 minutes) or a quick drive away is Admiralty House Park. Admiralty House Park has a small public beach, hiking trails, cliffs, and caves. It’s the perfect spot for cliff jumping, swimming, or simply enjoying the view.
The Grounds
The grounds at the Hamilton Princess are unlike any hotel I have ever stayed at. This hotel is a pastel pink paradise that is insanely instagrammable. The hotel’s motto and the hashtag is #poseonpink. And there is even a dedicated Instagram wall on the property. Aside from the dedicated Instagram wall, the grounds are full of perfect palm trees and a plethora of photo opts. All the design elements on this property flow so perfectly together; from the gardens to the walkways, pools, and fire pits.
One element that makes the hotel so special is the contemporary artwork scattered around the grounds. This artwork is seen in statues, paintings, and other elements such as the key-cards and water bottles. These contemporary designs give a youthful feel to this resort.
The Rooms
There are over 157 guest rooms at the Hamilton Princess ranging from guest rooms to suites. I stayed in one of the Deluxe rooms, which had its’ perk. The Deluxe rooms have a contemporary design that felt refreshing and is located in close proximity to the infinity pool! I loved being able to wake up and go for an early swim without having to walk across the entire resort.
During my stay, I had a chance to check out one of the suites. The suites are very spacious and perfect for anyone planning to spend a lot of time at the resort. The suites offer everything from spacious living areas to balconies overlooking the harbor.
The Cuisine
The cuisine at the Hamilton Princess is out of this world! I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing several meals during my stay. There are three restaurants on property, Marcus’, 1906 Bar and Restaurants, and Crown & Anchor. Additionally, there is in-room and poolside dining.
My first stop was Crown & Anchor for a Swizzle, a specialty drink in Bermuda. All of the bars on property know this cocktail well and it is a must-try while in Bermuda. The Crown & Anchor is also the place to go for breakfast. I suggest grabbing a table on the patio before heading to the buffet.
Fairmount Gold members have access to an exclusive lounge with complimentary afternoon tea and breakfast. On my last morning, I had breakfast in the gold lounge and it was absolutely delightful. There was a variety of food at the buffet such as eggs, meat, fresh fruit, and parfaits. The dining experience was intimate and the food very delicious.
I dinned in at the Hamilton Princess on both my first and last night in Bermuda. My favorite was the 1906 Bar and Restaurant with its’ open-air deck, overlooking the harbor. The food was amazing! The Burrata Salad was a classic and the Black Bean and Quinoa Burger was surprisingly delicious.
Off property, at the Hamilton Princess Beach Club, you will find the beachside restaurant. This is my ideal way to dine! I enjoyed a refreshing iced latte and shrimp tacos steps away from the ocean. There is something so indulgent yet relaxed about dining at the beach. The food was fresh and the atmosphere was relaxed with the faint sound of the water in the background. The menu is similar to what you will find to the other restaurant on property, yet for a unique dining experience, there are BBQ nights every Thursday and Saturday at the Beach Club.

The Amenities
There are two pools at the Hamilton Princess including the Infinity pool and the Exhale Spa pool.
The Infinity pool offered picture-perfect views of the marina and served as the perfect spot for a relaxing swim. There are even beach chairs positioned in the shallow part of the water, for anyone who wants to make the most of their vacation. Snag a spot early because their spots fill up fast!
The Exhale Spa pool is an adult-only pool that offers a bit more seclusion. This pool tends to be quieter than the Infinity pool and is better equipped for swimming laps.
The Hamilton Princess has a plethora of amenities, yet one of the stand-out amenities is the Exhale Spa. The Exhale Spa includes the fitness center and spa treatments. Here you can indulge in a spa treatment such as a facial, massage, or nails. In addition, you can sign up for a variety of fitness classes including barre, paddle boarding, and yoga.
In my humble opinion, the best amenity is the Hamilton Princess Beach Club. The Beach Club is located 20 minutes away in a private cove on South Beach. The Hamilton Princess Beach Club can be assessed by the hotels’ complimentary Jitney, shuttle service. Here, you will be able to enjoy the pink sand beach and crystal clear water. The Hamilton Princess Beach Club has every amenity for your comfort and enjoyment, including an on-site restaurant, changing areas and complimentary paddleboards, kayaks, and snorkel rentals. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels are scattered around the beach for hotel guests. Yet there are cabanas rentals available if you are looking for extra privacy.
