St Luke’s Mews: Home to the “Love Actually” Pink House in Notting Hill

St Luke’s Mews is one of London’s most popular mews streets. It is charming, oh so photogenic, and the filming location in the iconic movie, “Love Actually.” Tucked away in the Notting Hill neighborhood of London, just blocks away from the bustling Portobello Road is St Luke’s Mews. While exploring Notting Hill, you must meander to this charming street.

About St Luke’s Mews

St Luke’s Mews is one of the prettiest mews in London. The street is lined in cobblestone, and it has the most delightfully adorable carriage houses. There are approximately two dozen homes on this street, all uniquely their own. Some are brick, while others a painted in deep blacks and blues, others in pastel hues. The most popular is the pink “Love Actually” house.

The greenery makes St Luke’s Mews even more picturesque. Some homes are covered in vines, and potted plants line the street. It is easy to see what is so attractive about this London street. While St Luke’s Mews is no more than half a city block, it is bursting with charm.

All of the homes are privately owned, even the “Love Actually” house. Notting Hill is a highly coveted London neighborhood, so I cannot imagine the price tags on these properties on this street.

Love Actually Filming Location: 27 St Luke’s Mews

One of the significant draws of St Luke’s Mews is that it is a filming location in the movie “Love Actually.” Specifically, in the movie, 27 St Luke’s Mews was the home to Kiera Nighty’s character, Juliet. As “Love Actually” is an extremely popular movie, this pretty pink house in London has attracted attention.

Taking Photos at St Luke’s Mews

The fact that St Luke’s Mews was featured in the movie “Love Actually” makes it popular in itself. Yet, St Luke’s Mews also had a spike in popularity due to Instagram. If a charming pink house in London doesn’t scream Instagrammable, I don’t know what does. While St Luke’s Mews is one of the most Instagrammable spots in London, it is important to note that it is a residential street.

I highly recommend visiting St Luke’s Mews as it’s one of the best photo spots in Notting Hill, yet be respectful during your visit. Take your photos, yet try not to linger too long outside the houses and try not to yell or be unnecessarily loud.
