Walking through the Albaicin neighborhood of Granada, the Alhambra looms in the distance, visible through openings in the streets. There a various spots to view the Alhambra in Granada, most notably, Mirador San Nicolas, the most famous viewpoint. Yet, there are plenty of other viewpoints throughout Granada to choose from, including other miradors in the Albaicin as well as unique locations and vantage points. Best Views of the Alhambra
Mirador de San Nicolas
Mirador San Nicolas is the most well known as boasts about having the best views of the Alhambra. This viewpoint offers a unobstructed and direct view of the Alhambra and is known to be one of the best sunset spots in Granda. Mirador de San Nicolas is centrally located in the Albaicin neighborhood of Granada. Its’ ideal location makes this viewpoint an easy stop while exploring Granada. You will not have to venture far to get this incredible view. Due to its popularity, Mirador de San Nicolas is extremely crowded during sunset. However, this Granada viewpoint has a lively atmosphere at sunset and is well worth a visit.
Mirador San Miguel Alto
Mirador San Miguel Alto is located above the Albaicin neighborhood. This viewpoint offers unparalleled views of the Alhambra. It’s a bit of a walk to get to Mirador San Miguel Alto, yet the view is worth it. Mirador San Miguel Alto is a great alternative sunset spot to Mirador San Nicolas, if you are looking for a more intimate sunset experience. While this Alhambra viewpoint is popular, you could easily find a more secluded spot to watch the sunset.

Sacromonte
The Sacromonte neighborhood offers some of the best views of the Alhambra. Walking through this neighborhood, it’s difficult to find a spot that doesn’t have a great view of the Alhambra. Head to the Mirador de la Vereda de Enmedio. Here, you will find a small bar with views of the the Alhambra. Mirador de la Vereda de Enmedio is a great spot to relax, while taking in the views. Mirador Sacromonte is another great viewpoint in this neighborhood. There is a cobblestone staircase leading to Mirador Sacromonte, which makes for a great spot for photos. The Sacromonte neighborhood is far less touristy than the Albaicin, making these viewpoints feel like a “secret spot”.
Paseo de los Tristes
Walking along the Paseo de los Tristes, which follows part of the Río Darro through Granada, you will have beautiful views of the Alhambra. This walkway has numerous restaurants with outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying the view.
Carmen de La Victoria
Carmen de La Victoria is a small open space in Granada that offers idyllic views of the Alhambra. This park has beautiful leafy arches and a balcony that looks out onto the Alhambra. While I did not have a chance to visit Carmen de La Victoria, it came highly recommended. This park offers a unique viewpoint of the Alhambra.
How to Visit the Best Views of the Alhambra
These Alhambra views are found in various places in Granada. The best way to access them is via walking as the neighborhoods where they are located have extremely steep and narrow streets.
